Pizza with Caroline

I love meeting people who surprise me or give me wise life advice. My roommate is so wonderful, I’m excited to start my life here. She comes up with these great ideas and I would love to just be free and just live life. We did yoga this morning at Yoga Oasis and it was great. Granted that pretzel positions and I don’t get along, but it was so worth it. I feel myself focusing more and I feel the soreness. :) Perhaps we’ll try the 30-day yoga challenge, a friend on Twitter just finished a 30-day Birkram Yoga Challenge and I was so impressed by her dedication.

Meeting people like her gives me inspiration and hope that I am still so young and I can see and do so much. I’m really glad that I decided to move here. I remember having dinner and drinks with some of my co-workers at my old job on Wall Street. Don’t get me wrong, I loved my job, but they were all so unhappy and ready to move on — after only a year. They all had exit plans, already looking ahead. I’m concentrating on the present and how to maximize life here. KM said that my counterpart and me were awesome at what we did: professional shit-shovelers. Not necessarily the title I want on my business card.

Maybe I’m too optimistic right now, but I’d rather feel this way than those who’d prefer to be negative and resentful.

I also ate a whole container of Trader Joes’ Spicy Ranchero Egg White Salad today. And now it’s all gone!

It is so damn delicious. When Ashley and I spent our spring break of junior year in Laguna, her aunt & uncle bought it and I fell in love. They don’t sell it on the east coast, but now that I’m here, I’ll be scarfing it down all the time. And the whole container: 100 calories. DELICIOUS.

I’m leaving to explore some more — peace out!
